Timeless Half Dome
Wanting to capture the light of the low clouds around the top of Half Dome, I used a special dark glass filter in front of my camera to slow the camera's light-gathering ability. This allows me to take a longer picture, and that makes anything that moves slow down and blur. You can see the soft blur of the river as it flows, and the blur of clouds about the top of the Dome. In a place like Yosemite, where you're surrounded by ancient geological formations wherever you go, I think it's a fitting technique.
