Mesquite Dunes Sunset Sandstorm
When it gets windy in Death Valley, it *really* gets windy. Here I imaged the sunset over the Mesquite Dunes, with winds about 10mph. I felt like I was getting sandblasted. Later that night, the winds picked up to 20-30mph sustained, with gusts to 50-60mph! Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures from this trip because of the windstorms, but I know I'll be back to the sere beauty of Death Valley again soon.
