Towering Sunset Tree
A tall pine or redwood tree stands sentinel over its scrubby brethren at Bass Lake. Watching the clouds come in at sunset and catch the departing sun's rays, I took this photograph while listening to the distant sounds of kids playing around campfires and evening birds singing themselves to sleep.
