Late Afternoon at Mono Lake
Shortly before sunset began in earnest, the salt marsh-grasses caught the late afternoon sun and lit up, appearing to glow. The tufa pictured in the background was one of the more intricate ones. In order to protect the tufa for generations to come, walking and climbing on them is not allowed.
