The Tallest Skeleton Tree
One solitary sugar pine skeleton stands watch over Bass Lake after the sun has set and the purple coat of night is pulled over the world. Sugar Pines are the tallest of pine trees, reaching up to 200feet high, but this one couldn't resist the ravages of the invasive bark beetles that have killed off so many of the pines of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
