Stubborn Green Cattails in Autumn
As I stood here, I wondered why the cattails on the left were already turning yellow, but those on the right were still mostly green. Scientifically, I know it must have something to do with the light available to each clump and ensuing chlorophyll differences, but I'm human. I anthropomorphize. And so I decided that the ones on the right were simply more stubborn, and weren't ready to go to bed yet.
