Grandfather Oak
Standing sentinel in a deep yellow haze from the smoke of the Briceburg Fire west of Yosemite, this large Valley Oak seems to be of a generation older than those around it. To me, it seemed as if this tree were the grandfather, watching his grandchildren play in the yard.
