Believe it or not, only the first few trees are lit up by me with low level lighting- the trees further back are all lit exclusively by moonlight! In a long exposure such as this one, the camera sensor is able to gather more and more light until the scene can look almost as bright as daylight. I made sure to not overexpose, so as to keep the stars visible at the end of the road.
