Stars over the Sequoias
The stars glow faintly over Giant Sequoia trees in Sequoia National Park, California. These trees could be considered ancient- some are as old as 3,000 years. But the stars above them, at billions of years old, make the Sequoias look like mere babes in arms.
Of interest, the brightest "star" in this photo is actually the Andromeda galaxy, 2.5million light=years away from Earth.
