Moonset over Mono Lake Tufas 1
The first-quarter moon begins to set over tufa rock formations at Mono Lake, shortly after sunset. This is a 30 second exposure to maximize the light capture, which makes the moon's movement apparent. If you look closely, you can see the stars leaving little trails as the Earth moves in relation to space.
