Sturgeon Moon Over Millerton Lake 1
The full moon of August is known as the Sturgeon Moon. Though Millerton Lake has no sturgeon, and the dried grass on the hillsides of California's Central Valley is vastly different from the rolling green hills of the Great Lakes region where you can find sturgeon, I thought it fitting to capture this moonrise over my local body of water.
